Sharing the gospel of Christ together

We are a community of four rural churches working together with a positive relationship with one another while continuing to minister to our individual communities.  Morning Star Parish was formed in April of 2002 making it a five-point parish consisting of American, Pekin, Sheyenne, Sigdal and Warwick Lutheran Churches. Pekin Lutheran closed it's doors in 2023 making MSP currently a parish of four churches. Each of our congregations have active WELCA groups, two have active children's/youth ministries serving families from all churches and the community, with weekly classes, confirmation, and summer Bible School programs. MSP has a joint Music Team with members from each congregation taking part. Pastor Bethany Gufford serves Morning Star Parish. Picture below shows the original five churches.
